As a woman, I prefer the man to make the first move. Can't I just wait to receive contact requests, rather than sending them? |

Sometimes it's not a bad idea for the woman to take the initiative. If a man is already receiving a lot of (potentially interesting) contact requests, he often won't have time to send any out himself. A contact request is simply the first step and it's worth making the move if you are interested in another member. There is very little to lose and there could be a lot to gain.
Remember, too, that you need to be a subscribing member of PARSHIP to send contact requests or to respond to them. If you are serious about finding a relationship, then it's definitely worth taking out a subscription.
